Grow Finish Base Mixes

United Animal Health has developed a number of basemixes that fortify growing and finishing pigs. Various options are available depending on environmental issues, economics, co-product availability, and genetics. United Animal Health has non-phytase, phytase, and aggressive phytase basemixes. All United Animal Health products are continually reviewed by United Animal Health Nutritionists to ensure that our products contain the most current nutritional technologies to maximize pig performance.

Non-Phytase

United Animal Health has non-phytase grow-finish base mixes and a VTM for those producers who need to store the product for a longer period of time, value the phosphorus content of the manure, or have the ability to hand add the phytase enzyme. These base mixes require more inorganic phosphorus than our phytase containing base mixes.

This VTM is designed for farm mixing grow/finish swine diets from the ground up for pigs from 50 lbs to market weight. This VTM contains the correct blend of vitamins and trace minerals to ensure maximum performance.

An add pack designed to be used in combination with one of the JBS grow/finish base mixes to provide equal nutrients as the JBS HD 80 base mix. This allows for producers to inventory one base mix for pigs 25-50 lbs to market.

Aggressive Phytase

United Animal Health has implemented an aggressive approach to using a phytase enzyme in grow-finish diets. These products are designed for producers who want to reduce or eliminate the use of inorganic phosphorus sources in grow-finish diets, thereby reducing the phosphorus level of manure.

ECO 34

This base mix is designed for farm mixing of grow/finish swine diets from 50 lbs to market weight.

The ECO 34 base mix contains the correct blend of vitamins and trace minerals to maximize performance, and the base mix also includes an increased level of a phytase enzyme to reduce the amount of added inorganic phosphorus in the diet, and in turn lowering the phosphorus level in manure by maximizing digestibility of the phosphorus in the grain sources. The base mix can be customized to meet the needs of the producer.
